Ira was a video and photo artist. I met him in Berlin, where he was living and working for around 40 years. He told me, originally from New York, he left his place on the 5th. Avenue in order to come to Berlin because of the fresh and uprising art-scene of this, at that time recently reunited City. It was great for me to meet an artist, who worked with Godard, Wim Wenders and made a documentary film about the Woodstock-Festival back in 1969. And it was an honor that Ira agreed in a portrait-session. Recently a gallery in Finnland showed his work and asked me for one of the Portraits in order to use it for their adverts. I had to learn, that he passed away in 2022. R.I.P. Ira
